Annual Fall Fun at North Marion

North Marion Middle School

20246 Grim Rd NE

Aurora, OR 97002

The competition is in main gym at the top of the stairs in the Commons (where team pit areas are located). Concessions available.

Please be prepared to have your robot pre-inspected during the open pit time.

**Attention Event Partners:  If you are an event partner, then I will trade team for team.  I have 4 teams so far this year so I  will cover your $5 fee for the first 4 teams, if you will do the same? Or I am good with charging for the first team and letting the rest go?  If you are not an event partner, please consider becoming one as it will save you a ton on registration fees in the future and give you deep discounts on your game elements and other items.

VRC Qualifying Tournament

This VRC event is a qualifying event to the Oregon VRC State Championships (Platinum Division) and is open to all registered VRC teams.

If 10+ teams from each grade level (MS & HS) register for the event, then a 2nd Excellence Award will be added.  These spots will be reviewed one week prior to the event.  If less than 24 teams are registered, then the spot allocation may be reduced.

The event must meet the VRC Qualifying Criteria for the results to upload to RobotEvents, which can be viewed in the Uploaded Documents event tab.  The state qualification spots are determined by the capacity of the State Championship, the number of events in the state, and the size of the event.  If there is an out-of-state/region/province/nation team, or a team that double qualifies from the event (not from previous events or other methods), that spot will go to the next highest unqualified team on the Robot Skills ranking at that event. There is no look-back to previous events to see if a team has previously qualified. These spots will be filled by the Event Engagement Manager after the event has been uploaded and the results have been verified.  If you have questions about the State Championship qualification process, please contact, Richard Craig, [email protected]
