Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

The Regionals Kicks off on Sunday February 23 

• 3:00 Hockey game Bridgeport Islanders 

• All registered teams get a free ticket for all students and coaches 

  • Tickets will be at the willcall Window grouped by team and contact person

  • Team counts for tickets need to be given by February 16th 

• Extra discounted tickets can purchased for Parents and Guest

• Concessions will be available all day.   Bag Lunch will be availble to pre-purchase for each competition day for all students and coaches  Details as we get closer to the event

Tuesday, February 25th Tentative schedule

• 7:45 Connecticut Team Picture Main Fields (all teams please come to the main fields for a Connecticut Teams picture)

• 8:15 to 11:30 Morning Match session

• 11:30 to 12:30 Lunch Break

• 12:30 to 2:30 Afternoon Match session

• 2:45 to 3:00 Alliance Selection

• 3:15 to 5:00 Elimination round and Awards

• Venue close at 6:30

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad Weather changes to the schedule will be emailed to team contacts

Options 

1 Event opening may be delayed to allow for travel.

2. Event may be cancelled due to the weather.

announcements will go out by 6:00 am.  all teams are encouraged to use their best judgement when deciding to attend.

If the event is cancelled due to Weather or other issue.  Refunds less any event partner expenses will be processed by CTEEA.  Refund requests need to be emailed to [email protected]

Refund and Payment Policies

REFUND POLICY:
Refunds will be availble to teams that request cancellation of registration 7 or more day prior to the event.  No other refunds will be processed. Refunds are processed by CTEEA not the REC Foundation

If the event is cancelled due to Weather or other issue.  Refunds less any event partner expenses will be processed by CTEEA. 

$5 Processing fee collected by the REC Foundation will be duducted from all refunds

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.

Digital Engineering Notebook submissions must be posted on RobotEvents.com by February 16 12:01 PM, 2025 to be considered for Judged Awards that require a Engineering Notebook.  Physical notebooks brought to event may not be considered in the Judging process.
