General Info

Wendell Krinn Technical High School is excited to be hosting the Kraken Klash V5RC High Stakes Tournament!

Parking is behind the gym (see map below).

Registration will start at 8:30am (Doors open at 9:00am for parents and spectators). Teams running late must contact the event partner prior to this cut off if they do not wish to be dropped from the tournament

Engineering Notebooks: Please submit a digital notebook for this tournament. 

Participation Legal Release: A completed legal release form for all participants must be turned in during check-in or uploaded to robotevents.com prior to arrival.  Get it here: Form with instructions how-to-upload.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

  • 8:30 – Registration, Check-in and Inspections begin
  • 9:00 – Doors Open for fans and friends
  • 9:30 – Inspection Table Closes, Driver’s Meeting
  • 8:45 - 10:15 Skills Fields Open (One field will remain open during qualification matches)
  • 10:30 – Qualifying Matches Begin
  • 12:15 - Lunch Break
  • 1:00 – Qualifying Matches Resume
  • 3:00 – Qualifying Matches End
  • 3:30 – Alliance Selection
  • 4:00 – Elimination Rounds
  • 5:00 – Closing Ceremonies/Awards

We are not looking for volunteers to help with this event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of severe weather (a hurricane, for instance) this event will be CANCELLED and your registrations refunded (less a $5 processing fee).

Weather notices or information about a possible cancellation will be posted here on robotevents.com!  Please inform your team and parents to check here for official updates from PHSC.

Make sure your team contact information is up-to-date in robotevents.com in the event we need to contact your team.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be issued in the case of an event cancellation or COVID-19 related issue or quarantine (less a $5 processing fee).

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Please only register robots/teams that intend to attend. Due to the limited space for events, we will not issue a refund for a 'no show.'

Payment deadline is December 4th. If you have not paid the registration fee by this date your team may be put on the waitlist without contacting you.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The submission deadline is December 2nd, by 11:59pm.
