General Info

PYRS V5RC Last Chance Qualifier - Surrey Christian School

Last Chance: Coaches are to register only non qualified teams. Closer to the event we may send an email update too all coaches regarding if qualified teams can join. 

Pizza order will be available. $20 per pizza, forms will be on pit tables and collected before 10:00am.

A concession with snacks will be available during the day as well as a coffee truck in the parking lot.

Teams are reminded to bring their physical engineering notebook.

Skills runs will be offered in the morning and Quals in the afternoon. 

Please bring payment on the day of the tournament to the event partner server desk.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Teams will be notified at their registered email address in the event of a schedule disruption, change, or cancellation. Please join our Slack if you have not already we will post there as well. 

Refund and Payment Policies

Cancelation: Teams can cancel with 2 week notice. Teams that cancel with less than 2 week notice, will be billed for the full cost of the event. Holding spots is heavily discoraged and being tracked. Please register your team only if they are ready. 

Under limited circumstances PYRS will review on a case-by-case basis. 

Payment Methods: Cheque payable to Pacific Youth Robotics Society or Cash. Please try your best to bring payment on the day off. Do not pay on Robotevents.

Judging Format

In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
