General Info

Tournament Overview

The tournament will have two divisions of approximately 30 teams each. The competition will have four competition fields, one skills field and one practice field.

Teams may pay by check on the day of the event (please notify the event partner) or may make arrangements to pay online up to the day before the event to avoid the refund process if the event has to be canceled. Simply select "pay later" when checking out for registration.

Participation and Consent Form - All participants must complete the consent form online before attending the event.

Waiting List - If this event is full, please add your team to the waitlist and contact the event partner, there are often last minute cancelations

Concessions-We will have a concessions stand serving lunch options. An email will be sent to coaches after registration.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

7:30 AM Doors open and inspections begins (turn in notebooks at inspection)

8:30 AM Inspections Close

8:45 AM Drivers Meeting

9:00 AM Competition and Judged Awards begins

12:00 - 1:00 PM Lunch Break 

1:00 PM Alliance selection

1:30 PM Elimination rounds begin.

Volunteer

If you are interested in helping at a robotics event or helping mentor a team please contact me. Some of the roles at an event are: set up, tear down, concessions, referees, judges, running tournament software and MC. If you would like to help at this event or future events contact the event partner. Some of these roles do require training before the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the weather gets bad enough that the minimum number of teams won't be able to make it then we will cancel the event. If your team has decided not to attend due to weather please contact Chris Goble (918-397-4347) by phone or email immediately.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

In the event the tournament is cancelled by the hosting school due to inclement weather or other unforseen circumstances, each team will recieve a refund for the full amount including the $5 RobotEvents fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

For teams that have already registered for the event, they need to request a refund 48 hours before the event begins in order to receive a refund. The $5 RobotEvents fee is nonrefundable.

For teams that have registered and paid but do not show up the day of the event. The team registration fee and the RobotEbents fee will be nonrefundable.

Judging Format

Engineering Notebooks will be judged in person.

Team Interviews will be conducted in person.
