General Info

Clayton Valley Charter High School is excited to host  “CVCHS Ugly Robotics High Stakes Tournament #2.

We will have a full VEX Tournament featuring two competition fields, a skills field, and a practice field.

The Excellence Award and likely additonal Awards will qualify for the Regional Championship.

This event will be Live Streamed at: https://www.youtube.com/@UglyRobotics

There are currently 36 slots for this tournament, and a maximum of 6 teams per organization are allowed. Make sure that you are marked as paid (or PO received) two weeks in advance or you may be replaced with a team from the waitlist.

Check in will be at 7:00 am, sharp. Teams must be checked in 30 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.

Teams must be paid by January 10. Teams not paid at this time will be moved to the waiting list.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Bad weather should not affect this event. In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible. Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date and includes both school (if applicable) and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

Teams who have registered but have not paid by the payment deadline will be moved to the Waiting List. No refunds after the deadline unless we can fill your spot with another team from the Waiting List.

Teams that have not checked in 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the qualifying matches will be dropped from the roster so that the match list may be run.

Registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is not refundable.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Engineering notebooks MUST be submitted by Thursday, January 16, 2024.
