Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of an emergency that requires the unexpected early conclusion of the event, coaches and team mentors will be asked to get in touch with families to arrange for safe transit home. Please ensure that your primary and secondary contact information is up-to-date when you register your teams.

Refund and Payment Policies

Please note that this is a two-day event with a single fee. The cost ($110) covers the full weekend. There are no discounts if you only come on Sunday.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

No cost to teams if the event partner needs to cancel the event.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event but then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Please contact the event parter if you need to be withdrawn from the event. Full refunds will be issued to teams who withdraw more than one week prior to the event and also for special circumstances.

If a team attends on Saturday but chooses to not return on Sunday to compete.

This has a severe impact on our tournament scheduling as it may be too late to recalculate the match schedule. Teams will still need to pay the full price ($110)

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges

Note to Coaches

This event is intended for new teams and teams who have not attended many events yet this season. Please discuss this with your students and give priority to teams who you think could benefit most from having the extra time and support. Students in grade 12 are encouraged to participate as volunteers rather than as participants.
