The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

8:00 AM doors open/ teams check in/ fields open for practice.
8:30 inspections & judging will start
9:30 drivers meeting
9:45 - 12:00 qualifying matches will start
12:00 - 1:00 lunch break
1:00 - 2:15 qualifying matches will continue
2:30 - 3:30 elimination matches
4:00 - 5:00 semi-finals and finals
5:15 - 5:45 award ceremony

As always, if anyone is interested in volunteering, we can always use volunteers at the event!
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of impending bad weather, Vaughn College Robotics Club will collaborate with the college and other Event partners to determine if the event can be held on the regularly scheduled day and time. If the event cannot continue on its original schedule, every effort will be made to either keep the event on the same day with an adjusted schedule or reschedule the event to a different date and/or location. Updates will be provided via email and posted to the event webpage on RobotEvents.com as well as on our Instagram page VCAT Robotics.
Refund and Payment Policies
Refunds will only be issued to teams requesting registration cancellation 14 or more days before the event AND if the spot is filled with another team.
No refunds will be given due to changes in date/time/venue/format due to weather or unforeseen emergencies.
If the event is completely canceled, partial refunds (less event partner expenses) will be processed by the event partner. The $5 Processing fee collected by the REC Foundation will be deducted from all refunds.
Judging Format
Judging - Engineering Notebooks will be judged remotely. Notebooks must be uploaded to Robotevents by 12 pm on January 3rd. Late notebooks will not be accepted. Interviews will be conducted in person at the event.
Food Request
If you wish to place a pizza order at the competition, please complete the Microsoft forms. Pizza pickup will be in the Cafeteria at 12pm 1pm during lunch. You will pay at the Cafeteria upon pickup. The Cafeteria is also open for business throughout the competition for breakfast, lunch, and early dinner. Hours for the Caefetria are 9 am - 4 pm.
