Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

8:00 am - Doors Open/Inspection Begins/Skills Opens

9:00 am - Registration and inspection close

9:15 am - Driver's Meeting

9:30 - 12:00 pm - Qualification Matches

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm - Lunch

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Qualification Matches (Skills will close at end of qualification)

3:30 pm - Alliance Selection

3:30 - 5:30 pm - Elimination Matches

6:00 - Awards/Adjourn

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

For event day information regarding weather delays or cancellations, please check the event page for updates.

If the event will not run as planned you will receive an email.

If schools are closed due to inclement weather and travel is not allowed from your district to the event, refunds or rainchecks will be made.

Refund and Payment Policies

Payment due by October 26. Any teams not payed by the deadline will be placed on the waitlist.

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will be made through robotevents.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

All refunds for payments through robotevents.com may require 6-8 weeks to process.  RECF will take $5 from each payment and that will be deducted from the refund.

Before 2 weeks - Full refund (Less RECF Fees)

Within 2 weeks - No refund 

Judging Format

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Submission deadline will be October 28th.
