Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If an event is going to be cancelled due to inclement weather, natural disaster or other emergency event, all teams will be notified via email (at least 24 hours in advance if possible).

Teams should make sure their contact information is up to date in Robotevents and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

No refunds after 11/2/2024 unless we can fill your spot with another team from the Waiting List. 

You will need to pay in advance prior to the event by 11/6/2024 or your spot may be forfeited.  If you wish to pay in person the day of the event, contact Jon Andrew as soon as you complete registration on Robotevents.

Any refunds will be processed after the event at the event partner's discretion. 

Registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is not refundable

Teams are responsible for their own transportation and hotel costs. 

Webcast

We plan to broadcast this event live on the Butte Built Bots Youtube Channel.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges
