Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

If you have adult team members that can volunteer please have them contact Bryan Silver one week prior to the event to be assigned.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather being anticipated the tournament can be canceled with a 24 hours in advance or less warning. We will make very effort to run the tournament or find another weekend to host. If a team can not reschedule then the tournament fees will be refunded.  

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: We will issue a second tournament or offer a refund to the teams participating.  

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: The full cost will be expected to be paid with no refunds.  

 

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
