General Info

The Lake Effect League will run the Elyria High School Makerspace.

There will be 2 competition fileds, 1 skills field and 1 practice field. 

We will offer a full concession stand featuring pizza for each session. There is no dinner provided, will be no dinner break. 

Session 1 - October 29, 2024 from 3:30 - 7:30pm

Session 2 - November 14, 2024 from 3:30 - 7:30 pm

Session 3 - December 17, 2024 from 3:30 - 7:30 pm

Session 4 - January 28, 2025 from 3:30 - 7:30 pm

Session 5 (Judging and Finals) - February 13, 2025 from 3:30 - 8 pm

 

Due to space limitations, there is no room for spectators. This is a coach and team only event. No matches will be live streamed.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Coaches will be contacted via email or phone based on the registration information in the event of a cancellation/postponement due to inclement weather. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: refunds will only be issued if the event is cancelled minus the $5 REC processing fee.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: registration fees will not be refunded.

 

Judging Format

 

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

Notebooks only need to be brought to the final night on 2/13 - this is the night for interviews as well.
