General Info

General:

Granada Hills Charter High School and the Robodox (team 599) are delighted to host the Rumble in the Jungle 2024, a VEX High Stakes Tournament. The event will be open to 36 teams from both Middle and High schools. Winning specific awards at this event will qualify teams to attend a California Region 4 State Championship.

There will be two competition fields, a Skills Challenge field, and full practice field at the event. Both Driving and Programming Skills Challenges are open to all registered teams.

This event will be limited to four teams per school. Once the event is full, a waiting list will be created for teams who were unable to register. This waiting list will also be available for you to sign up a fifth team, but precedence will be given to schools/organizations who are not yet registered. If you have any questions, please feel free to email the Event Partners, Niko Gevorgian and Diego Martinez, at [email protected] and [email protected].

On-site parking is free, and there are numerous dining options in the area for lunch and snacks.  Although teams should be aware lunch is only 45 minutes long which leaves limited time to explore these dining options.  In addition, we will be selling concessions right outside of the competition venue and have multiple vending machines on campus.

We will not provide free lunch for competition participants.

Please be advised there is no eating or drinking allowed in our competition venue (the GHC Large and Small Gyms), but teams are allowed to eat on the tables and benches outside and in the cafeteria.

Registration:

Registration will be at 7:30 am, sharp.

Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.

Team Payment:

Teams must be paid two weeks prior to the event (Monday November 4, 2024). Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the waitlist.
