General Info

Welcome to the 2024-25 West Virginia State Championships, hosted at the Fairmont State University Falcon Center!

Due to Fairmont State's dining contract, outside food cannot be brought into the venue. However, the Dining Hall will be open for lunch - buffet style, all you can eat for $8.

Judging Information

In-Person Notebook Submissions

Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

In-Person Team Interviews
Team interviews will be conducted in-person during the event.

8 AM: Doors open, inspection begins
10 AM: Drivers' meeting
11 AM - 12PM: Practice matches (1 per team)
12:00 - 1 PM: Lunch Break
1 PM - 6 PM: Qualifying matches
6:30 PM: Doors close

Monday, March 17

8 AM: Doors open
9 AM - 12 PM: Qualifying matches
12:00 noon: Alliance selection
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM: Lunch break
1:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Elimination matches; judged awards presented between rounds
4:00 PM: Final awards & closing ceremony

Travel Info

The event will be held in the Fairmont State University Falcon Center. Please see this document for an annotated campus map.

Free parking is available in the campus parking garage. From the garage, take the elevator to the top floor and walk across the pedestrian bridge to the Falcon Center. The street address of the parking garage is: 1112 Bryant St, Fairmont WV 26554.

For an accessible entrance or large vehicle unloading, continue up Bryant St. to the point marked “Falcon Center Accessible Entrance and Load-In” on the attached map. From there, enter the Falcon Center on the second floor and take the elevator or stairs down to the gyms. Several accessible parking spaces are located near this entrance – unless you require one of them, please move your vehicle to the parking garage after unloading. The lot above/behind the Falcon Center is for university Faculty and Staff only and you will be ticketed by university police if you park there.

School buses and other large vehicles can park in the gravel lot located across Locust Avenue/US 19 from campus.
