General Info
Welcome to the 10th annual Danbury High School VEX Robotics Qualifier. This exciting event will bring together teams from Connecticut and beyond, and is a qualifier for the Connecticut State Championship.
Concessions will be available all day. The Hatter's Cafe will be serving their full breakfast menu starting at 7:00 am.
Students can also purchase meal tickets good for lunch from the Hatter's Cafe, lunch service from 10:30 - 1:00

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
Options
1) Event opening time may be delayed to allow for travel.
2) Event may be moved to snowdate (2/8/25)
2. Event may be cancelled due to the weather.
Announcements will go out by 6:00 am. All teams are encouraged to use their best judgement when deciding to attend.
If the event is cancelled due to bad weather or Covid, refunds less any event partner expenses will be processed by Danbury High School Robotics. Refund requests need to be emailed to [email protected]
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
In the case of the event being cancelled by the event partner, refunds will be offered less the $5 RobotEvents processing fee.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Any refunds will be subject to a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that will not be refunded, and will only be availble to teams that request cancellation of registration 7 or more day prior to the event. No other refunds will be processed. Refunds are processed by Danbury High School Robotics, not the REC Foundation.
Health and Safety Policies
All participants are to comply with any and all health and safety policies set forth by the Danbury Board of Education for the 2024/25 school year.

The Webcast link will be available the day of the tournament.
Judging Format
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
