General Info

Thank you for registering for VEX V5 Robotics Competition High Stakes Langham Creek Open.

We plan to use the smart field controllers for this event Please make sure the following Initial Setup (Teams) is followed prior to inspection. 

  • Open VEXcode
  • Connect robot brain directly to computer
  • Turn on robot brain
  • Ensure controller and robot are running the latest VEXos firmware 
  • Set team number on robot brain (no spaces between team number and letter)

  • Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
  • A submission deadline is scheduled for 01/16/2025.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Volunteer

Volunteers are what make VEX events happen.  Our biggest need for each event is judges and queuing, no experience is needed.  Volunteers receive lunch, and snacks throughout the day.  Contact Jessie Vo at [email protected] if you would like to volunteer.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will be sent. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

A team may be transferred to another Cy Ridge Event if notified within 2 weeks. 

Judging Format

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
  • A submission deadline is scheduled for 01/17/2025 (ahead of the event date). No notebooks will be accepted on the day of the tournament.
