Middle and High School 2nd Annual DSAHS VEX V5 Robotics Competition Showdown
Saturday February 22nd, 2025 at Don Soffer Aventura High School (3151 NE 213th St, Aventura, FL 33180)
All participants are expected to complete the participant release form . Once per season covers all events: https://kb.roboticseducation.org/hc/en-us/articles/7119161700759-Participant-Release-Form
PLEASE arrive with Robots that are COMPETITION READY. Ideally, you should do a preliminary inspection of your own prior to arrival, using either the official VRC Over Under inspection sheet or following guidelines in the Game Manual
Parking is free and a cart for equipment is recommended in order to reach the gym
Each team should bring a 15ft (or longer) extention cord--power will be within 15 ft of each pit table for charging.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED--ideally, each registered team brings along at least one adult to help run the event.

- Check-In: 9:00 AM (FIRM--if you hit traffic, you MUST let us know to be included in match list)
- Skills Field: 8:45 AM (Skills field closes at the end of the qualification matches).
- Inspections COMPLETE: 9:00 AM (Again, this is FIRM--bring robots ready to compete)
- Driver's Meeting: 9:15 AM
- Qualification Matches: 9:30 AM
- Lunch Break: 11:30 AM -12:30 PM
- Qualification Matches Continue: 12:30 PM
- Alliance Selection: Approximately 3:00 PM
- Elimination Matches: 3:15 PM
- Awards: 5:00 PM

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
The event will only be canceled if the school district is closed.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be processed. Please keep in mind that the $5 Robotevents fee will not be returned in the event that a refund has been issued.
Please keep in mind that If your team has not paid the Registration fee by the deadline, the Event Partner holds the right to put the team on the Waitlist"
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No Refunds
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
