General Info

Welcome to the Northridge CyberBuggies Holidaze V5RC High Stakes Tournament.

Enter through Door 29 (southwest corner of building).

Parking for buses and vehicles available in this lot or adjacent lots.

Student waivers must be submitted online.

Check in immediately upon entry.

Engineering Notebooks must be submitted at check-in.

Inspection stations will be in the Auditorium Looby near check-in.

Competition fields are located in the Field House (600 Hall)

Skills fields will be in area adjacent to the Field House.

Team Pits are located in the cafeteria.  Feel free to bring your own power strips.

Concessions available (Breakfast & Lunch items - we are famous for our local donuts!!

Facility is ADA accessible

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

We will have (3) competition fields, (2) skills fields, and (1) practice field.

Schedule is subject to change.  We are on EST,

7:15 AM               Doors open.

7:30 - 8:30 AM     Inspections and Practice fields open

8:30 - 8:45 AM     Driver Meeting - Field House

8:45 - 8:50 AM    Welcome and National Anthem

8:50 AM              Queuing Opens

8:55 AM - Noon   Qualification Matches and Skills Open

Noon - 12:30 PM  Lunch Break

12:30 - 3:00 PM   Qualification matches and Skills

3:10 - 3:30 PM     Alliance Selection

3:30 - 5:00 PM     Elimination Matches and Championships

5:00 - 5:30 PM    Awards and closing

5:30 PM -            pack up and have a safe trip home.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather cancellations please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates will be posted about the event status as needed in the General description

Coaches will be notified by email in the event of a cancellation.  

Any questions or late arrivals please call or text Bridget Griffin 574-596-2855.  If texting, please give me your name and Team name.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: We will refund all monies collected except for the $5 fee paid to REC..  

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:  No refund will be given. 

 

Health and Safety Policies

All local and state health policies will be in effect.  

Do not wander into any areas of the school outside of the areas we are using.

Judging Format

.All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
