Hello Everybody!

It is my pleasure to bring you the fourth annual Capital Beltway Challenge robotics tournament. We're looking forward to seeing you all on Nov. 15 and 16.

Pizza and Chik Fil-A preorders are available. Orders are requested for an entire team, not individual squads, and are due by Tues. Dec. 12. Food can be made here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfgLPlTDG2iSDCcbpoOy7LeOlNeUEt6TQOVrZlop8iDj59yeg/viewform

Additional concessions including water, sodas and snacks will be available during the touranment.

Concession and pizza payment can be taken by cash, money order, or Square transaction.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event that inclement weather at the event location, emails about closure or cancellation will be sent out the night prior to the event when possible. Refunds or rescheduling will be announced by the end of the day Nov. 16. Inclement weather in other parts of the state or region will not be grounds for a refund. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Full refunds or a rescheduled event will be arranged.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 75% refunds will be provided up to Nov. 1, after which no refunds will be provided.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
