General Info

Welcome to Robocalypse: A Halloween NRAI Event! We are planning a fun-filled event with many new additions!

Start planning your individual and team costumes, because what would Halloween be without costume contests? Check back often to see what thrilling additions you can look forward to.

More information about this event will be sent to coaches in September. 

We will contact you closer to the event with more details including directions, campus maps, times, and food ordering information. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email [email protected]. Participants will be required to submit the VEX liability release form through robotevents.com or in person at the event.

Livestream

This event is livestreamed on YouTube!

There will be a costume contest where awards will be given to the best collective team costumes!

Concessions

Full concessions will be available from 7a.m. to 3p.m. Breakfast will be served starting at 7a.m. and Lunch will be served starting at 11a.m. 

We are looking forward to a great tournament!

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of inclement weather, check the Event on Robot Events for further updates the night before the event date. In the event of cancellation we will try to reschedule.

Refund and Payment Policies

Payment is due in full within 4 weeks after registration. If payment is not completed without proper communication, teams will be moved to the waitlist until payment is recieved.

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

In case of inclement weather and the event is cancelled, registration fees received will be returned minus the $5.00 processing fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

If something happens and you are unable to attend the competition, please notify the primary contact through email or phone. Refunds for non-attendance will only be given if your cancellation notice is received no later than 1 week prior to the event date.

Judging Format

The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges. Notebooks should be submitted at the registration table as teams check in.
