Welcome

Welcome to the Northeast Wisconsin VEX Robotics Challenge information page.  VEX V5RC teams of all ages will be competing in a V5RC Tournament.  We look forward to seeing the many amazing robots.  

Please keep the following in mind:

1. Safety First!  Please bring safety glasses and wear them in the pit area and on the competition fields.

2. Be familiar with the game and robot rules.

3. Check the official VEX Forums for any rule updates and changes.

4. Please remember to bring the following:

     Engineering Notebook (physical hard copy)

     Safety glasses

     Robot

     Spare parts and tools

     Laptop

     Power strip

5. Make sure your robot has the most current software release installed.

6. Please "pre-inspect" your robot and correct any issues before the formal inspection to keep the inspection process efficient and on schedule.  

7. BE SAFE and HAVE FUN!

 

 

Participant Consent Forms

All team members and coaches need to complete online Participant Consent Forms.  Paper copies cannot be accepted.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Volunteer

An event like this takes many volunteers to make it successful.  If you are interested in volunteering, please send us an email to [email protected]

We are especially in need of volunteers to assist referees with scorekeeping.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If inclement weather forces a cancellation of our event, the event page will be updated to provide the details.  If you are delayed in arriving for our event, please call Kent Lyng at 920-373-4389.  The match schedule must be completed on time to keep the tournament on schedule and no additions to the schedule are possible after the match schedule is distributed.  If you will be arriving late, please call so we can include you on the match schedule!

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

The Event Partner will issue a refund after the event date.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

All registration fees must be paid two weeks prior to the event.

Any teams that cancel more than 2 weeks before the event may request a refund.

Teams that cancel less than 2 weeks before the event will receive a refund if we are able to fill their spot with another team from the wait list.

Teams that register less than 2 weeks before the event must pay at the time of registration.

Health and Safety Policies

Remember to wear your safety glasses in the pit area and the at the competition fields. 

Please do not use powered tools at your pit table. If you need to drill, cut, grind, shape, polish, or de-bur, with any type of powered rotating or reciprocating tool, you must do that in an area that will be located at one end of the pit.

If you see an unsafe condition, please inform a tournament volunteer and it will be corrected.

Don't forget to wear your safety glasses in the pit and at the competition fields!

Please park in the parking lot on the west side of the high school.  Enter through the PAC entrance with the multiple double doors.

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
