Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the case of impending incliment weather, teams will be contacted via email to determine how many teams will still try to attend the event.  A final decision about the event will be made, at the latest, by 6:30 AM on the day of the event.  This decision will be sent via email to participating teams and volunteers.

Refund and Payment Policies

Team cancellations will be accepted and refunded up to three weeks before the event.  Full refunds will be issued if the event needs to be cancelled for any reason. Other than theses cases, there will be no refunds for a registered team that does not attend.  We expect all registred teams to compete on event day.

Please contact the event partner if you need to swap one registered team for another team, this can only be done before the day of the event.  

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews:

Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Digital notebooks must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Thursday, Janurary 12.
