General Info
Thank you for considering our West Salem Saterday tournament. . This tournament is designed for novice teams that have yet to qualify for state. It provides an opportunity for new teams to gain experience by competing against other teams at a similar level. since this is an invitational event please put your teams on the wait list to show your interested and I will invite teams that not had the chance to excell at other events.
If you would like to take part in the event, please add your team to the waiting list and the event partner will reach out to confirm rookie status.
The event will be held in the Main common of West Salem and start a little later in the day for teams who are traveling . The east side Doors will open at 1 pm for check in and inspections and is expecte to run till 10pm that night. After passing inspection teams will participate in Qualifying Rounds, Alliance Selection and Elimination Rounds. There will also be a field open for Skills Challenge runs. Teams will be limited to three Driving and three Programming Skills Challenge runs.

Volunteer
Contact Zachary Link (Link_Zachary@salkeiz.k12.or.us) if you interested in helping volunteer. We can use referees and potentially judges. If you are interested in refereeing please complete the VEX Referee Certification once it is online.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If bad weather is to occur, use your own discretion on attending the event.
If the event is cancelled and we are not able to reschedule the event we will refund your tournament fee.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
a full refund will be given
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Refunds will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Please understand that additional paperwork will be required for all refunds.
Judging Format
Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.
- Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
