All participants are expected to complete the participant release form . (also available in Spanish)  Once per season covers all events

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

8:00 - Doors open, registration, and inspection

IF YOU ARE NOT CHECKED IN BY 8:45 YOU WILL BE LEFT OFF THE MATCH LIST.  IF YOU ARE RUNNING BEHIND CALL ME AT 561 463 8641.

9:00 - Opening remarks, driver meeting - Robot skills will run until the qualification matches are over.  Get your rounds in early!

 

9:15 - 11ish Qualification Matches.  Matches will run tight.  The matches will run without you!

11ish - 11:30ish Lunch (We will break for lunch for 1/2 hour whenever the pizza arrives.)

11:30ish - 1 Qualification Matches

Right after Matches end - Alliance Selection

 

After 10 minute break - Eliminations.

This is all followed by awards!

I will try and get you all out of there by 3pm, but we could run as late as 5pm

Parents and coaches, thank you for helping us run a smooth VEX IQ event!

Volunteer

We will need volunteers for this event.

High school students will receive community service hours.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

For event day information regarding weather delays or cancellations, please check the event page for updates and call David Sankey and 561 463 8641.

If the event will not run as planned you will receive an email.

Refund and Payment Policies

Teams need to pay within 2 weeks of registering.  Teams that have not paid 2 weeks after registering may be moved to the waitlist.  Payment at that point will add your team to the event if there is space.  If you have paid and are still on the waitlist please email [email protected].  

All refunds for payments through robotevents.com may require 6-8 weeks to process.  RECF will take $5 from each payment and that will be deducted from the refund.

Before 2 weeks - Full refund (Less RECF Fees)

Within 2 weeks - No refund  (barring extenuating circumstances with documentation)

Judging Format

Notebooks need to be turned in electronically.  Please note the judge's guide. 

Notebooks must be uploaded in Robotevents.com by January 3rd at 4 PM.

Initial interviews will be scheduled before the tournament.
