General Info

The Cov Cath Colonel Classic is open to Middle and High School VEX Robotics teams. The event is a State Qualifying event.  Teams from other states are welcome.

No outside food permitted. 

The cost of the event includes a pizza, drinks, and snacks for each team.

Concessions will be available and additional pizza and doughnut orders will be available.

 

Digital notebooks only.  Physical notebooks will need to be scanned and uploaded into Robot Events by January 9th at 3:30 pm Eastern Time.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Volunteer

Volunteer Coordinator: Angie Gates

Experience Level: No Previous experience is needed for most volunteer positions.

Time Commitment: You can register for an entire day, or just a portion of the day as your schedule permits for most positions.

Meals: Lunch and hospitality area provided for all volunteers.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The event will not be rescheduled if cancelled due to bad weather.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

  • A 50% refund will be processed for an event cancelled due to weather related emergencies.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 

  • Refunds will not be given to teams cancelling less than a week before the competition. Refunds will be sent out around 6 weeks from the event who cancel in due time. If teams registered and paid through robotevents we must receive the funds from robotevents first, this some times takes 3-6 months. Refund from robotevents will deduct 10%.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
