General Info
Irving STEAM Magnet is delighted to host the 2024-25 3.1_VEX Battle: Los Angeles, HIGH STAKES Tournament. The event will be open to 28 middle schools. Winning specific awards at this event will qualify teams to attend the California State Championship. This event will be limited to 4 teams per school. Once the event is full, a waiting list will be created for teams who were unable to register. This waiting list will also be available, precedence will be given to schools/organizations who are not yet registered. On-site parking is free.
Registration will be at 8:00 am, sharp.
Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.
Teams must be paid by November 23, 2024 . Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the wait list.

Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
All teams who have registered and paid will be given a refund.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Due to the financial commitment on the part of the event venue, no refunds will be possible. Thank you for your understanding. It is essential that all teams check in before 8:00 am.
Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
