General Info

Welcome to the West Holmes V5RC Blended High Stakes Tournament, playing the game: "High Stakes". This event is open to High School and Middle School Teams. The event will feature a minimum of 5 fields, 3 fields for the competition and 2 fields for skills/practice. We are allowing spectators for the event, so encourage parents, friends, and family members to attend and support their teams.  Lunch will be provided to each registered team at the event.  A coaches/advisor/volunteer hospitality room will also be available as you get there in the morning and throughout the tournament.  A concession stand will also be available for teams and spectators. There is no admission fee to watch the competition.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Agenda

  • 7:00 am Staff and volunteers arrive

  • 7:30 am Team arrival

  • 7:30 am. Robot inspections and skills  fields open for practice after inspection

  • 8:00 am. Interviews with Judges begin in your pit area

  • 8:15 am Opening ceremonies

  • 8:30 am Qualifying matches begin

  • 12:00 pm-12:30 pm Lunch break (Pizza will be provided for each team in your pit area)

  • 2:45 pm Alliance Selection

  • 3:00 pm-Tournament Begins                                                                                                

  • 4:00 pm.-Awards and Closing

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

You will be notified by email if there is inclement weather for this event, a full refund will only be given if the event is canceled.

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds will only be issued if the event is canceled due to inclement weather.

 

If the event partner cancels the event, a full refund will be issued. 

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend refunds will not be issued.

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
