Refund Policy

Teams that sign up for this event will not be provided with a refund if they do not compete.  

Event payments are expected when you register for this event and must be completed (showing PAID in the system) a minimum of 1 week prior to the event date.  Unpaid teams will be moved to the wait list and replaced with another team already on the wait list. 

No refunds will be made once a team is marked PAID in the system. Please contact Eva Carrender for further information.

Once registered team names cannot be changed. For example RobotTeamB cannot be subsituted for RobotTeamA. A new registration must be created.

If you cannot attend, please notify us at least one week prior to the event so we can add those on the WaitList and give other teams an opportunity to compete.

 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

This event will be held indoors.  It will be cold and the forecast is for clouds but no rain.

In the case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. Event Partners will also make every effort to reach teams directly in case of an emergency.   Make sure your team contact information is up to date in your robotevents.com account, as this is the information that will be used to contact your team. 

Volunteer

Volunteers Needed
Each team is required to provide volunteers to be eligible to participate in the competition.

We need lots of help for the tournament. Thank you to all that have volunteered to help and those that will help us out at the event. 

Volunteers sign up by email to Eva@CarrenderRobotics.com put VEX IQ Volunteer in the subject line. Indicate your 1st and 2nd choices.

High school students who volunteer are eligible for community service hours. Bring your paperwork to be signed off.

Technical Positions include: Robot Inspection, Referees, Judging, Skills Field, Scorekeeping

Non Technical Positions Include: Team Queuing, Field Reset, Field setup, Cleanup, Emcee

Carrender Robotics in cooperation with COIL Charter School is excited to host our second VEX IQ Tournament.  The event is open to 24 elementary and middle school VEX IQ teams.  We are initially accepting up to three teams from each school.  We encourage schools to put their extra robot teams on the waiting list.  We will add these additional teams as a priority to the tournament if there is space available. 
To place a team on the waiting list, please contact Eva Carrender at Eva@CarrenderRobotics.com

We are hosting a food funraiser run by the boy scouts. Items for breakfast, lunch and snack will be available for a fee.

Our intention is to create a no frills tournament geared toward those teams that have not had an opportunity to attend a tournament somewhere else.
