General Info

Hyundai Motors Manufacturing Alabama presents the SCORE Showdown at Great Wolf Lodge hosted by The Southeastern Center of Robotics Education (SCORE) at Auburn University. Located 45 minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Great Wolf Lodge offers countless exciting activities both in its indoor water park and its adventure park, ranging from water slides to ropes courses and arcade games.

Join us to earn your spot as one of the best teams in the Southeast and qualify for Worlds* in the process! We also encourage teams to come early or stick around after the tournament for a day (or two or three) to enjoy all the thrills Great Wolf Lodge has to offer!

All registered teams will receive a booking code to receive a discount on rooms at the Great Wolf Lodge in their registration confirmation email. Depending on the type of room chosen, the discount rate is between $149 - $235 a night.

It is very important that primary contact information in Robot Events is up to date and is regularly checked.

Refund and Payment Policies

Team payment is due by October 31, 2025. Any team unpaid by payment due date will be removed from the registered team list without notification and their spot will be offered to a team on the waitlist. This is necessary due to the need for teams to make travel plans.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

We are unable to offer refunds to teams that have completed payment. In the event the EP Needs to cancel this event after payment has been made, that money can be applied to a future SCORE event.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

We are unable to offer refunds for this event. Because of this, teams should wait to make payment until they are certain they can and want to attend while being mindful of the payment due date. Any team unpaid by payment due date will be removed from the registered team list without notification.

If a team has to withdraw from competition after payment is made, SCORE can consider transferring the registration fee to another SCORE hosted event.

Judging Format

Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

It is currently our intention to have DIgital Engineering notebook submissions, but we will be considering changing this to in person notebooks and interviews.

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.

Digital notebooks must be submitted by Dec 1, 2025 using the Robot Events digital notebook submission. If the submission is to a dynamic link, the notebook that is judged will be the information at due date. The judging team cannot guarantee they will view any notebook submission or update after the due date.

No notebooks will be reviewed once the event has started.
