General Info

This event will take place on Saturday, February 8th, 2025.

The event will take place at Keystone High School in the Heath Gymnasium.

The event will only be cancelled if a Winter Storm is happening.

Doors will open at 7:30 am and inspections will begin at 8:00  - 9:00.

The cost is $100 per team unless you are a member of PA Rural Robotics.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

8:00 am - 9 - Inspections

9:00- 9:15 -Drivers Meeting

9:15- 11:30 - Skills Competition

11:30-12:00 Break For Lunch

12:15 - Finish - Team Competition

Awards and Presentations at the end.

Our hope is to be finished by 3-3:30 however technology and other items may make the tournament go to 5:00.

Volunteer

We will need volunteers to help with Queing, scoring game fields, a head referee and more.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

This event will only be cancelled if there is inclement unsafe weather for travel or an impending winter storm.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: a refund maybe granted.   A winter storm will only cancel the event.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No Refund will be given.

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
  •  
  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.

Once I have my volunteers in place one of two formats above will be utilized.
