Welcome to the 2024-2025 Massachusetts VEX IQ State Middle School Championship!

Only Qualified Teams in Massachusetts will be invited to register and attend this event.  

Pizza will be provided to each team, coach, and volunteer! We will also have a concession stand.

We are excited to see you in at the event!

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

  • 9:00 am - Doors Open
  • 9:00 am - 10:00 am - Check-In/Registration/Inspection
    • Note: All teams must be through inspection by 9:45 am
    • Notebooks must be turned in by the prior Sunday (by 11:59 PM) before the event through the Digital Engineering Notebook portal on Robot Events
  • 10:00 am - 10:15 am - Welcome Meeting
  • 10:15 am - 2:00 pm - Skills Challenge Fields Open
    • Note: Skills Challenge lines will close at 2 pm. Any teams in line at that time will have an opportunity to complete their Skills matches. Each team will be able to run 3 Driver Skills Challenges and 3 Programming Challenges.
  • 10:15 am - 12:00 pm - Qualification Rounds
  • 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm - Break for lunch 
  • 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm - Qualification Rounds 
  • 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm - Teamwork Challenge Finals and Awards

Engineering Notebook Submissions / In-Person Team Interviews:

  • Engineering notebooks are required to be submitted digitally through RobotEvents.com by the prior Sunday (3/9/2025 by 11:59 PM) before the event
