Welcome Team IPS competitors and coaches,
We are thrilled to welcome you to the 2nd Annual IPS VEX IQ Robotics Invitational! February 22nd will mark an incredible celebration of innovation, teamwork, and creativity, where young minds come together to solve challenges and showcase their engineering prowess. Each design, every code, and all the countless hours of practice are a testament to your commitment and passion for robotics.
Some important reminders:
Parking is located right off Arlington Ave. You will enter the West Gym doors. Check in and inspection are to the left as you come enter the building
Restrooms are located near the main entrance
Please be inspected an in the pits no later than 8:50am, the tean meeting will begin promptly at 9:00.
Parents and Families are welcome to sit in the bleachers but should remain off the event floor and out of the pit area.
Remember, today is not about winning; it’s about learning, growing, and inspiring one another to reach new heights. Let’s make this a memorable event for all. Together, let’s celebrate the power of STEM, innovation, and teamwork. Good luck to all the teams competing today, and let the games begin!

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Volunteer
Though I hope to have all the postions necessary to run this event filled. I have learned that even the best plans can fall through. I am certian we will need help with set up and tear down prior to and aftre the event. If anytone has extra time on thier hands either Frday night the 21st, or can help break down chairs and tables Saturday afternoon any help is greatly appreciated.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, the tournament will be rescheduled to a later date yet to be determined.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: The event was free to attend, no refunds are necessary
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Remember that withdrawal or not attended this event risks forfeiture of coaching stipend.
Judging Format
This is not an official qulaifying event, but judging will stiil take place and awards given. All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges, or a porvide and link or flash drive containing the notoibook if the team used a digital notebook.
A modified team interview is required to win any judged award, notebooks are optional but they can help students in the interview process to help explain their ideas, game strategies, and robot modifications.
