General Info

The Lake Cumberland Robotics Challenge is open to Elementary School teams and Middle School teams. The event is a State Qualifying event. An organized pizza order will be available, as well as concessions. No outside food will be permitted.

ONLY TEAM MEMBERS AND COACHES WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE PIT AREA. Please make any parents traveling to the tournament aware.

This tournament will have Qualification and Finals matches. Skills Challenges will be available to all teams. Skills will be closed during lunch.

Judging Format: Onsite Digital notebooks only.  Please update your link on your team page.  First Round interviews will be held in one location.  Second round interview locations will be decided by the judges.

All positions are needed.  Judge and Referee positions require certifications.

 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, notice of cancellation will be made via email.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

  • Teams will receive a full refund minus the $5 REC Foundation processing fee

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

  • Teams will receive a full refund minus the $5 REC Foundation processing fee unless it is past the Closed Registration date.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
