General Info

General Info

This event will be a ES and MS VEX IQ Competition Event, which will include individual robot skills challenges as well as a 2 on 2 tournament according to VEX IQ rules. In general teams will have skills runs and we are targeting minimum of 6 cooperative matches each and finals rounds.

  • FREE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE FOR TWO TEAMS that can bring and setup a full VIQ fields for competition & skills. Fields must be up and running by 830am. This would be provided as a refund to the team after registration. You must contact Event Organizer [email protected] to confirm beforehand.
  • VOLUNTEERS: If you are available to volunteer to help the event, please contact [email protected]. free lunch and light breakfast provided.
  • FOOD & SNACKS
    • This event will NOT have a food concession stand. Teams will need to provide their own snacks, drinks, and lunches.
    • Local breakfast and lunch options are available about 1mi away at Northfield Center
    • Standard chain restaurant food options are available about 5-10 minutes away in East Hanover on the Rt.10 (Mc Donalds, Chipotle, Panera, etc).
  • PARKING / ENTRANCE DETAILS:
    • Use the HS parking lot entrance from Wahler Road at the back of the building. There is no access from the front entrance.
    • Enter through Door #23 on the North side of the building
    • The parking lot and entrance are visible from Wahler Road, so it should be obvious.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

We can provide refunds if another team is able to fill the vacated spot

Please note, all refunds are minus the $5 administrative fee retained by RECF.

 

Judging Format

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
