General Info

We are looking forward to hosting a robotics tournament at the University of West Alabama! 

Come test out your design & programming ideas, make some new VEX friends, and have a great time competing in this year's competition!

Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks! We will share updates here & email all registered teams as we finalize plans on parking, concessions, etc.!

Coaches: Be sure your email in Robot Events is accurate as important and necessary information will be sent to that email address.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Volunteer

Volunteers are vital to making events successful. We greatly appreciate anyone who is able to attend the event to help it run smoothly! Please contact via email ([email protected]) if you are interested in signing up.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, the event may be postponed. All coaches will be updated as soon as any changes happen.

Refund and Payment Policies

It is expected that teams utilize the RobotEvents system to handle event payments prior to attending the event.  In all cases, each registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is non-refundable.  

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will only be issued if the tournament is canceled and not rescheduled. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Withdrawals after registration will not receive a refund unless we are able to fill your spot prior to the event day.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
