General Info
Hello All!
This is going to be an awesome and exciting event for your teams! There will be support staff available, but make certain all systems (ie updates to controllers and brains) are go before you arrive anyway!
This Tournament is for all Santa Maria Bonita schools and their partners. Plan to arrive by 8:00am, check-in/inspections begin at 9:00am, qualifying matches will start at 10:00am. If you are planning to compete for awards such as innovation, engineering, design, at the 2/1 tournament, please bring your engineering notebooks so that we can help with their development.
There will be 2-3 practice fields, two game fields, and a skills field. Only the game fields will be on camera for viewing on the large screens at the event.
We plan to have 6 qualifying matches followed by a single elimination bracket.
Winners will be announced after the bracket as well as updates to the team tournament rankings.
Some concessions will be provided. Expect opportunities to buy water, snacks, etc... so for those of you hoping for Juan's famous tacos TBD
Parking will be available on the street.

Arrive: 8:00am
Inspection: 8:15-9:00am
Qualifiying Matches begin: 9:30-10:00am (some flexibility is to be expected and we will try to see to it that all teams that arrive with a robot will be able to participate, but there are no refunds if your team/robot does not make the deadline when matches begin.
Lunch 11:30-12:30???
Bracket: 12:30-1:00pm
Awards: Immediately following the last bracket match.

All volunteers must be registered and training completed.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
The event is held mostly outdoors. We do have canopies but should some unexpected rain threaten are electronics, we would have to cancel and reschedule.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: The event partners must be notified by December 13th, 5 pm.
Health and Safety Policies
All REC and school district policies within the SMJUHSD boundaries must be followed.
Judging Format
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
