The event is located in Hopkinton Middle School, 88 Hayden Rowe St.

We are in building 40; the entrance is off parking lot 17.

Our pit area is located in the cafiteria, right inside the door off the parking lot; we will have signs.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Agenda

8:30am- 10:00am: Check-In/Registration/Inspection:
Note: All teams must be through inspection by 10:00am

8:45am - 1:30pm Skills Challenge Fields Open
Note: Skills Challenge lines will close at 1:15pm. Any teams in line at that time will have an opportunity to complete their Skills matches. We want each team to run 3 Driver Skills Challenges and 3 Programming Challenges.  Try to keep them on top of their schedule so they use their breaks to run skills.

8:45am: Welcome, followed by Event Meeting

9:30am - 12:00pm: Qualification Rounds 

12:00–12:45 pm: Break for Lunch— We will be sending out a pizza order form. We will have a concession stand.

12:45 pm - 1:30 pm: Qualification Rounds

2:00pm-3:00pm: Teamwork Challenge Finals and Awards

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

We will contact coaches in the event of inclement weather. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: We will refund your registration fee

 

If a coach/mentor completes registration for the event, then chooses to withdraw or not attend: We will not refund the fee unless we can fill your spot. 

Please note: all refunds will be minus the $5 administrative fee retained by RECF. 

Health and Safety Policies

Please try to keep students from running with or without robots.

Judging Format

 

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The deadline for submission is 5PM January10, 2025
