Welcome to the 2025 PYRE Robotics February Qualifier!  We are excited to host you for VEX IQ Competition: Rapid Relay!

The event will be hosted in the main gymnasium at Plainfield Community Middle School.  Please enter through Door 17 (at the south end of the building).  Please see the Image Gallery section for a map of the entrace and parking.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

  • Skills Opens for Inspected Teams - 9:30 am
  • Inspection Closes / Event Meeting - 10:30 am
  • Qualification Matches - 10:45am - 12:00pm
  • Lunch Break - 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm
  • Qualification Matches - 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm
  • Finals (Top TBD) - 4:45 pm
  • Awards - 5:20 pm

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

We will attempt to either delay or reschedule in the event of inclement weather.  If rescheduled to a time you are unable to attend, a credit toward a future competition we host will be provided.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

A refund will be given less the $5 RobotEvents fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refund will be given.

Assuming all goes well, the event will be livestreamed on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/pyrerobotics

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
