General Info

These Scrimmages are free, but registration and payment of fees to RobotEvents and registration and payment for your teams for the Rapid Relay Finale on February 8 are required.

These are tentative dates.  The locations will be announced as they are decided. Would your school like to host one of the scrimmages?  Please contact Dr. David White, [email protected].

Please keep updated by looking at this website.

We would love for teams to participate in all 4 scrimmages if possible.  If more than 20 register for the same date, it will be first come, first served. Each team may sign up for 2 scrimmages , then, if slots are available, sign up for more.

Before the first scrimmage, participants are expected to complete the participant release form . (also available in Spanish)  Once per season covers all events

Parking is available in the school's parking lot. If lot is full, please park on neighboring streets.

Each scrimmage begins with Team Check-in and Robot Inspection. Teams need to check in by 5:45 PM and robots need to pass inspection by 6:45 PM to be included in the  match schedule.

At Team Check-in for the first scrimmage, teams verify that they have uploaded release forms for all team members and sign up to provide one volunteer for at least one scrimmage.

We will have two competition fields and one practice field at each scrimmage ifrequired by the number of teams competing.

The teams coach who is officially listed in robotevents as the primary contact receives all team emails, so read the email titles and content carefully.

All attendees are expected to abide by the code of conduct  .

Judging Format

In person interviews will only occur for the Finals Tournament.

Notebooks must be submitted digitally by 11:55 Friday, January 31, 2025  Teams must submit a link to their notebook. This is the only way that notebooks will be accepted.  Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.

For example, a notebook can be photographed or scanned in, put into a google doc, or on a website, and then the link would be recorded for each team on the sponsor's account page.

Notebooks are not required but make a team eligible for certain awards if well done.

There will be no judging during the scrimmages, but there will be interviews and in-person judging at the Finale in February. Keep your team's notebook updated during the season, to be well prepared for submission.
