General Info

This IQ event is a qualifying event and is open to all Elementary & Middle School VEX-IQ teams who have registered during the 2024-25 year.

The top 8 teams from the qualifying matches will form the 4 teamwork alliances to compete in the finals.

You are welcome to bring your own snacks but please dispose of your trash when you leave.

Digital notebook submissions are due January 25th by 11:59 PM.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Volunteer

No experience is required for most of our volunteer positions.

However volenteers should have an interest and ethusiam for robotics.

Volenteers have a flexable schedule.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If this event is cancelled due to inclement weather, it will be rescheduled for Febuary 15th.

Coaches will receive an e-mail through RobotEvents.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

It will be rescheduled.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Teams must cancel at least 2 week before the event to be refunded (January 18th, 11:59 PM EST). No refunds will be given after that.

If a team pays entry fee to Robotevents we must receive the funds from Robotevents minus the $5 RobotEvents fee. In some cases it can take 3-6 months to receive refunds.  Teams that cannot attend a rescheduled event, due to bad weather can be refunded upon request. Please allow 6 weeks.

 

Judging Format

 Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents by January 25th at 11:59 PM.
