General Info
Hello All!
This is going to be an awesome and exciting event for your teams! There will be support staff available, but make certain all systems (ie updates to controllers and brains) are complete and the robots ready to go before you arrive!
This Tournament is for all Santa Maria Bonita schools and their partners. Plan to arrive by 8:00am, check-in/inspections begin at 9:00am, qualifying matches will start at 10:00am. If you are planning to compete for awards such as innovation, engineering, design, please bring your engineering notebooks to check-in by 9:30am.
There will be 2-3 practice fields, two game fields, and a skills field. Only the game fields will be on camera for viewing on the large screens at the event.
We plan to have 6 qualifying matches followed by a single elimination bracket. All awards categories on will be decided through the interview process as well as final standings in the league and the tournament.
Winners will be announced during the bracket and immediately following the tournament.
A concession will be provided. Expect opportunities to buy water, snacks, etc... so for those of you hoping for Juan's famous tacos TBD
Jack n the Box, Charlies, Orcutt Burger, Taco Bell, Subway, Jersey Mikes, Little Caesars, Dominos etc...are all less than a mile away on Clark Ave.
Parking will be available on the street. Parking available across at Element Church TBD.

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Agenda
Arrive by 8:00am, Check-in and set-up
8:30am Inspections beg
Qualifying matches begin at 10:00am. Lunch will follow the end of qualifying matches. (Approx. 12:00-12:45)
We expect the matches to be over by 2:30pm.
SKILLS AGENDA: The skills field will open at 9:30am, close at the beginning of lunch then open the last 30 minutes of lunch. The skills field is available on a first come first serve basis. Every team gets up to three driver and three autonomus runs. Highest scores from driver and autonomous* from each of the three runs will be recorded for the competition.
*The highest driver and autonomous scores will then be added together. Two drivers and a loader will be required for teams to compete.

Volunteers will need to contact event partners prior to the event, have filled out all the necessary documents on the Robot Events website, and adhere to all school and district policies.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
This event is partially held outdoors. In the event of some light rain or a cold day, we plan to provide canvas pop ups, but in the case of heavy rain, etc the event will have to be rescheduled.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Please notify the Event partners BEFORE by email at least 48 hrs before the event so that we can make the necessary changes before the event.
Judging Format
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
