Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Volunteer

We are a small organization and will require many outside volunteers in addition to our own - judges and refs will be especially critical.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

This event has no available makeup date. A weather-related event cancelation will be made in accordance with area School District's policies.

In the event of a weather-related cancellation, teams will be contacted as early as possible and event registration fees will be returned minus the $5 RECF processing fee.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will only be made if the event is cancelled by Delaware County Christian School in conjunction with local public school districts.  Refunds will NOT include the $5 processing fee assessed by Robot Events.   Refunds will be coordinated thru the billing contact for the team.

Registration fees are due 1 week prior to the event.   
If your team hasn’t paid by the registration fee due date, your team will be placed on the waitlist. 
 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Registration fees will not be refunded for teams that register but choose not to come unless notice is received three weeks prior to the event to open the spaces for others to register.

 

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date. - Notebooks must be submitted digitally by Monday, Jan. 27, 2025.
