This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.
For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Volunteer
Sandpiper's Robotics relies on youth and adult volunteers! We need your help to make this a great event and we welcome help from adult family members, students, neighbors, and community members.
Please (link TBD) and be sure to include your team number in the notes section.
Thank you for your support so this event can run smoothly.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
Event will take place, rain or shine. Event Partners will also make every effort to reach teams directly in case of an emergency. Make sure your team contact information is up to date in your RobotEvents.com account as this is the information that will be used to contact your team.
Refund and Payment Policies
Payment:
- Primary and Secondary Coaches will be contacted by email 3-weeks prior to the event to remind them to complete payment within a week. Make sure this contact information is up-to-date.
- Teams that registered but have not paid or submitted a valid PO 2-weeks prior to the event will be sent a final reminder to immediately complete payment.
- If full payment is not received within 24 hours of this second reminder, non-paying teams will be removed from the event and those spots opened up for waitlist teams, unless a special arrangement has been made with the Event Partner.
- If payment of fees is a hardship for a team, please reach out to the Event Partner to explain the situation. In extraordinary circumstances, we may be able to make special arrangements to waive some or all of the fee.
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
- Refunds will be issued minus $5 per team. This fee is imposed by RobotEvents.
If a team completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
- No refunds will be granted because the organization incurs expenses upfront to organize the event.
- Upon request, we may consider moving the team to the next event that we are hosting in the season, if there is one.
- Team swaps/trades will only be permitted until the week prior to the tournament date.
- Teams are responsible for their own transportation, food, hotel costs and other such expenses.
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
