General Info

Welcome to Cranberry Area Jr/Sr Highschool's Bash at the Berry Dome! This event is primarily for schools located in Western Pennsylvania, although others are welcome. 

If the event is full, please add your team to the "waitlist". As we near the registration deadline we will begin moving teams off the registration list and contacting those teams.

Digital Engineering Notebooks will be accepted up until Jan. 17th, 2025 at 8 pm. Please make sure to have all digital Engineering Notebooks linked to your team on Robotevents by that date and time. Paper format will not be accepted. In person judging will take place at the tournament.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

9:30am - 1:00pm  =  Skills Matches

1:00pm - 1:30pm  =  Lunch

1:30pm - 4:30pm  =  Qualification Matches

4:30pm - 5:00pm =  Finals

5:00pm - 5:30pm  =  Awards Ceremony

 

Update (1/9/25):  **Due to the limited number of VIQRC events in Western PA and team demand, the comepetition capacity has been increased. Due to this matter, please anticipate ending time to be later than it was originally scheduled.

Volunteer

Please reach out if you or any of your V5RC students would like to volunteer at the competition. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Competition will take place unless inclement weather causes saftey issue. 

Competition will likely not be rescheduled. If it does, teams will be notified. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

You will recieve a full refund. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Will receive refund if withdrawn by Jan. 17th (final registration date).  

Judging Format

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
  • Due at 8 pm on Jan. 17th, 2025. Digital Engineering Notebooks only. Any notebooks submitted after this date and time will not be considered for a judged award that requires the notebook.
