General Info

San Angelo ISD and Angelo State University are excited to host the 1st Annual San Angelo RoboRam Showdown at Ben Kelly Center for Human Performance in San Angelo, Texas. We are looking forward to a great day of competition and meeting new people interested in VEX Robotics. Be prepared with batteries, chargers, and your license plates.

Lunch: We will take an hour break for lunch. I highly recommend picking up lunch or having it delivered to the Ben Kelly Center for Human Performance.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

8:45 AM                  Judges Interviews Begin

9:30 AM                  Driver Meeting

9:45 AM                  Practice Round and Teamwork Qualification Matches Begin (6-10 matches per team)

12:00 - 1:00 PM      Lunch

1:00 - 2:30 PM        Finish Qualification Matches

2:30 - 3:00 PM        Teamwork Final Rounds

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If inclement weather requires us to cancel the competition, we will refund all entries.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event, refunds will be given as soon as possible.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend, refunds will generally not be given, but you can contact Jennifer Feck if there is a special circumstance.

 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
