The Adria Open VEX IQ Competition - Rapid Relay 2024-2025 is a robotics competition for elementary and middle school students.
Location and Date
The competition will be held in the beautiful city of Ludbreg, Croatia at the Sports Hall on 12. 2. 2025 and 13. 2. 2025.
Language
The competition will be conducted in English. Teams and their members should be able to communicate in English.

In case of emergency or bad weather the competition could be cancelled or moved to different date. Organisers are not responsible for any expenses of the teams.

Health and Safety Policies
The safety and well-being of all participants, volunteers, and spectators is our top priority at the Adria Open VEX IQ Competition. We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. To ensure this, we have implemented the following health and safety policies:
General Safety:
- Emergency Procedures: Emergency exits and procedures will be clearly marked and communicated to all attendees. First aid personnel will be available on-site throughout the event.
- Supervision: All participants must be supervised by a coach or mentor at all times.
- Appropriate Behavior: Participants and spectators are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully at all times. Any unsafe or disruptive behavior may result in disqualification or removal from the event.
- Cleanliness: We encourage all participants and attendees to maintain a clean and hygienic environment. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the venue.
Reporting Concerns:
If you observe any unsafe conditions or have any concerns regarding health and safety, please report them immediately to a volunteer or event organizer.

Getting to Ludbreg:
Ludbreg is a charming town located in northern Croatia. While it may not have its own airport, it's easily accessible from several major transportation hubs.

Closest Airport: Zagreb Airport (ZAG) is the closest international airport to Ludbreg, located approximately 98 kilometers away. The drive from Zagreb Airport to Ludbreg takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes by car.
Ground Transportation:
- Car Rental: Car rentals are available at Zagreb Airport and in Zagreb city center.
- Taxi: Taxis are readily available at the airport and in Zagreb. You can also pre-book a taxi or transfer service.
- Bus: There are regular bus connections between Zagreb and Ludbreg. Check bus schedules and book tickets online.
- Train: While there is a train station in Ludbreg, connections from Zagreb may require transfers and take longer than other options.

Organizers of the Adria Open VEX IQ Competition do not cover any travel costs for teams. Teams are responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation, accommodation, and other travel expenses.
Judging Format
Judge interviews are done in person at the event.
Design documents (Engineering Notebooks) are delivered for digital evaluation via the link found in the "My Account" panel of RobotEvents till 3. 2. 2025.
