General Info

Quashnet School is excited to host a regional qualifying tournament for VEX IQ Rapid Relay. 

This event will take place on Monday, February 3, 2025 from 9:30am - 3:00pm at Quashnet School, 150 Old Barnstable Rd., Mashpee, MA 02360.   Parking is available at the school.  All visitors, students and adults, should enter through the front doors of the school and promptly check in. 

The tournament will be held in the gymnasium where all competition fields, skills fields, and pit areas will be located. The gymnasium is located to the left of the front doors.   

Teams may pre-order whole pizzas for $10 each.  Pre-orders must be received by Jan 27, 2025, no exceptions can be made. There will also be a concession stand selling drinks, snacks, and pizza by the slice.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Volunteer

We welcome judges, referees, inspectors, and other general purpose volunteers.  Please reach out to Jamie Whiddon ([email protected]) if you are interested in volunteering.  We are delighted to have community support for our events! 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

This event will be definitely be cancelled if Mashpee Public Schools cancel school for the day.  If bad weather is expected, we will attempt to notify participants over the weekend.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Registration fees will be returned, minus the $5 administrative fee retained by the RECF.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Registration fees will be returned if withdrawl happens before Monday, January 20, 2024.  Please notify Jamie Whiddon of withdrawl.

 

Health and Safety Policies

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring to check-in a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
