General Info

Welcome to Westchester's Seventh Annual VEX IQ Tournament!

There will be trophies for Teamwork Champions, Excellence, Design, Judges, and Robot Skills Champion. Engineering Design notebooks will be collected at the registration table when you enter the event. 

Participation & Consent:

A completed consent form for all participants must be turned in before the competition. 

Registration:

The day of registration deadline is 8:30 am. Any team not registered by that time will be removed from the event and not be included in the match list. All payments for entry fees MUST be in advance. Payments will not be accepted at the door.

Event Information will be sent out two weeks before the competition.

Early Bird Registration will be used this year.

State spots will most likely be added to this event in the next few months.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

An event can never have too many volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Katie Guess at [email protected]

We are looking to fill multiple roles that each require a variety of skill sets. Training will be provided for every volunteer role. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Registration fees will not be refunded if teams do not cancel at least one week prior to the tournament. 

All teams need to be present and checked in prior to the start of the competition. Refunds will not be issued to teams who arrive after competition rounds have begun.

In the event that this tournament cannot take place due to inclement weather, a credit for entries into a future event will be offered to all paid teams.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
