General Info
The Oyster River Middle School VEXIQ Tournament is Saturday, December 7th from 8 am – 3 pm. Doors open at 7:30 am.
Location: The Oyster River Middle School is located at 1 Coe Drive, Durham, NH 03824. There should be plenty of parking at the school.
Food:
· We will have a basic concession stand with snacks and drinks.
· NOTE!: Pizza must be pre-ordered. Pizza prices and order information will be updated as the event gets closer.
Engineering Notebooks:
· Engineering notebooks will be collected at the Team Check-In table. If you have a digital notebook, please print it out and bring it with you to the event. Only hard copies will be accepted.
Important Documents:
· Robot Inspection Checklist: Teams should review this checklist prior to the event to ensure their robot will pass inspection.
· Game Manual - VEX IQ Rapid Relay: Everything you need to know about this year’s game.
General Information:
· For qualification matches, each team will compete in 6-7 matches.
· For skills, each team can perform up to 3 Driving Skill and 3 Programming Skill matches.

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Agenda
7:30 am: Doors open. Teams should check in as early as possible then proceed to the inspection table. This will help ensure a timely check-in and robot inspection process.
· 7:30-8:30 am: Team Check-In and Robot Inspections
· 8:30 am: Deadline for checking in. Teams that have NOT checked in by this time will NOT be placed in the match schedule.
· 8:30-9:00 am: Opening Ceremonies.
· 9:00 am-12:00 pm: Qualification Team Matches. Skills Challenge Open.
· 12:00-12:30 pm: Lunch.
· 12:30-2:00 pm: Qualification Team Matches. Skills Challenge Open.
· 2:00-3:00 pm: Final Matches and Awards.
Volunteer
If your program brings a competition table you will recieve a free team registration. Please contact Jason Duff at [email protected] if you are interested in supporting the event. We will be in need of at least three table sets.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In case of inclement weather, team contacts will be notified if the event is cancelled or postponed. No "rain" date has beeen set at this time.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: All team registration fees, minus the $5 RECF fee, will be refunded.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Oyster River will reimburse the program if withdrawl is done before December 1st .
Judging Format
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
