Welcome to the New Diana Middle School VEX IQ Rapid Relay! 

We will follow the schedule posted. If teams are late we will continue the competition without them.

We will not have concessions available. You will be responsible for providing your own snacks and drinks. A list of restaurants will be sent out to coaches.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, events will either be canceled or rescheduled. Coaches will be emailed in advance.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: If the tournament must be canceled, the tournament fee minus the $5 RECF fee will be returned to the team or school.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend: The Event Partner must be notified at least 2 weeks before the event, so that other teams may have the opportunity to attend. If the Event partner is notified 2 weeks prior to the event, the registration fee minus the RECF fee ($5.00) will be returned once a check from the RECF is received with that team’s registration fee on it.  The fees cannot be returned until they are received from RECF.  If the Event Partner is not notified before the two-week deadline, all fees will be expected to be paid and no registration fees will be refunded. 

 

Judging Format

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
